Site Comment By not too much relying on wind sock, try to capture main flow of wind by your judgement because wind changes its direction often being affected by thermals. Make landing by keeping the main flow as head wind. Approach by boxing the landing field or having the aircraft type landing approach is set here as a rule. Please visit our web site to learn more about it. For proper understanding of the rule by visitors, site manager will be available to explain it.

Place of Interest Izumo Shrine nearby is known for having spring water of fine taste. Soba noodle shop near the shrine makes soba (buckwheat noodle) by using premium buckwheat flour and water from the spring of the shrine. There are many restaurants on the outskirts of Kameoka City. Public bath is near Yagi-cho town. When condition is not good for flight, it is recommended to visit Nishi-Kyoto Paraglider Training Field, about 15 minutes from the site, where you can make practice.
Others It is required to use harness equipped with such gear as T-buckle to prevent pilot from falling out when he/she forgets to fasten chest belt and leg straps. As a rule, make circle clockwise in the thermal in front of launch on even days and counterclockwise on odd days. Tandem flight by visitors is not allowed. Pilot found not having proper skill to fly by site manager can not fly at the site and would be recommended to enter a school.
