The takeoff is on a trapezoid mountain facing to Japan Sea and wind direction is good for ridge and thermal soarings, and you may make top landing because of its wide open space. Trail is paved and you can drive up right to the takeoff.

| Description |
One of the best areas in Niigata Prefecture having good thermals. Thermals here from end of April thru early May are especially good.
Gaining altitude of more than 1,000km may be possible even during summer season because the site is not located high above the sea level.
From mid September many fallow fields after harvesting are allowed to use as landing field for cross country flight.
